A worthy ideal?

Success as Earl Nightingale told me thousands of times on tape “Is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” It’s progressive, one step at a time, one small step at a time.
This is important, very important.
“Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal or goal”.

Do you want more power?

Give yourself something to work toward – constantly.

As Zig Ziglar says, “if there is hope in the future, there is power in the present”.

Personalize it – “if there is hope in MY future, there is power in MY present”.

Talk to more people

The step is the solution
When I first got started in network marketing selling water filters I met Jeff. Jeff had a very simple answer to every problem. “Talk to more people.”
If you went to Jeff and said “Jeff our product is too expensive”, Jeff would say, “talk to more people.”
If you went to Jeff and said “Jeff I’m not making any money: Jeff would say, “talk to more people.”
If you went to Jeff and said “Jeff I have a problem with our company: Jeff would say, “talk to more people.”

This works. It will work for you.

Say less to more people.

Every day counts

Each new day is a blank page in the story of your life. The secret of success is in turning that page into the best story you possibly can. Every small step you take is part of your story ..... closer to ..... or away from your dream.

It's OK to quit!

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO QUIT?

OK

Quit listening to the media and how bad things are.

Quit believing there is not enough money.

Quit believing that outside factors determine your life

Quit listening to the “I can’t people”

Quit listening to the “It won’t work choir”.

Quit listening to the “I tried that once” theme.

The alternative never, never, never, never give up.

Keep taking those small steps to the TOP everyday, everyday, everyday

Am I doing it wrong?

“John I get a lot of ‘not interested’ when I hand out a CD or talk to someone about my business. What am I doing wrong?”

The answer is ‘nothing’. You’re doing the right thing. Every no leads to a yes. So much of our business depends on timing. If you ask someone to listen and they’re doing well they may say ‘no’. Ask that some person when their circumstances change and suddenly they are interested. Just keep asking.

Mary Kaye got it right, fail forward.

"People fail forward to success."

What IS the cost?

What will it cost me to pursue my dream?

What is the cost of pursuing your dream?

The cost is a ‘Small Step’ toward your dream today and tomorrow and the next day. Take your small steps to the TOP, everyday, everyday, everyday.

What's the cost?

For everything we do there is always a cost. What will it cost me to pursue my dream?

The first thing to remember is that the cost of pursuing your dream is far less than the cost of letting your dream die. The price of neglect is far greater than the price of discipline. The price of failure, of letting go, is much greater than the price of persistence. The saddest words in life are “if only”. “If only I had pursued my dream, if only I held my vision, if only ……..”

How do you evaluate your actions?

As you take those small steps to the top everyday, everyday, everyday how do you evaluate the results? How do you know if you are on the right track?

If your answer is the results you see, you have given the answer that 95% of the population gives … and you would be wrong. Results always come last.

Focus on the actions you’re taking. Are you doing the things that work?

The results will come. Focus on doing the right things everyday, everyday, everyday and evaluate yourself based on your activity not your results.

Every step is a leap of faith

Sometimes your only available transportation is a leap of faith.

Every small step is a step of faith and you never know where that step will lead.

Success is taking one step after another

Success is taking one step after another.

Earl Nightingale said that “success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal or goal”. Notice that he said the progressive realization. Progressive tells me that it is a process; it does not come all at once in some great quantum leap.

Success is progressive, it comes one step at a time. The philosophy you will hear about in this series is the Small Step Philosophy, small steps that will take you to the top.

You will soon see that every one of these steps is easy, easy to take but here’s the catch they are also easy NOT to take.

Success, the choice always is yours.

Using feel felt found to overcome objections

This is a 1:22 minute video on using feel felt found to overcome the objection "I don't believe in Network Marketing".

Thia is the first in a series of short videos addressing frequent objections.

Small Steps to the TOP

FIRST STEPS: IT LOOKS SO FAR!

You may be thinking, “John the Top of the Mountain that you always talk about seems so far.” Of course the top of the mountain looks so far when you’re just getting started and looking up. When I got started in network marketing I thought that if I could just earn $3000 a month I would have it made.

Dream, visualize, imagine yourself at the top of your mountain and then take the first step. No matter how high the mountain the only way to get there is by taking one small step at a time.

That’s why the Small Step Philosophy is so important.

Think about it!
It’s the only way to the top.
